Aparc - Fees

APARC : Anglophone Parents' Association in the Region of Chantilly

Fees

APARC is a non-profit making association employing qualified teachers to provide English classes for bilingual children up to IGCSE level and it is run BY parents FOR parents. With the exception of teaching staff and classroom assistants, all other posts are held by APARC committee members on a voluntary basis. All teachers have English as their mother tongue. There are currently 150-155 children in APARC English classes.

How does APARC spend its money?

Parents may not be aware that APARC does not receive outside funding. As such every cent received really is crucial and APARC would like parents to understand that all the tuition fees received go directly toward payment of salaries of the teaching staff, teaching materials in school, library books and administrative costs. APARC makes every attempt to put the maximum amount of money back into the APARC education loop exclusively for the benefit of the APARC children.

As such, any shortfall of funds directly affects all resources available and is detrimental to all who benefit from the Association.

Members receive full accounts information every year at the Annual General Meeting and at this meeting members also approve a budget.

What are the fees based on?

The APARC fees are calculated on the basis of three full school terms.

There is a 20% reduction in fees for the second child that is admitted to APARC and 30% for the third and any further children.

The current rates are: € 678 per annum for Primary and Kindergarten
€ 1264 per annum for Collège

In addition parents with children in kindergarten, primary or collège will be required to pay the annual APARC membership fee (currently €50 per family). This fee is not refundable in the event that your child leaves during the course of the school year.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • Tuition fees are invoiced on the basis that your child will attend three full terms during the academic year. If you join APARC mid-year the fees will be pro-rated, based on the month you join
  • Fees will be payable by monthly instalments collected from your bank by prélévement. Failure to pay your child's fees will result in his/her place being offered to another child and a €20 administration fee will be charged.
  • Where two or more children from the same family attend APARC in kindergarten, primary or collège, tuition fees will be reduced by 20% for the second child and by 30% for the third and any subsequent children.
  • The annual APARC membership fee is not refundable in the event that your child leaves during the course of the school year.
  • If you wish to withdraw your child permanently from APARC during the school year, then you will need to give 4 weeks written notice to the appropriate section co-ordinator. A final statement will be issued and any amount still owing must be settled within 7 days of receipt.
  • The Ecole Bois St Denis will not be available to APARC on certain Wednesday mornings as notified. These dates are omitted from the billing. However, we cannot take into account each individual school's Wednesday mornings, Classe de Neige, etc or sickness, when your child may miss an odd lesson.
  • IGCSE exam fees are invoiced seperately where appropriate.
  • Extra costs such as exam fees or the cost for replacement of lost/damaged books will be billed separately during the year.
