Five-a-side

Post Posted: Mon Aug 27, 2007 10:32 am

Now that the summer season is coming to an end there have got to be other ways of keeping fit that you can play in the rain. Like indoor five-a-side football!

I'm going to try and get some five-a-side organised, if I can find enough people interested. I have around 5 or 6 names already so need a few more to get a match going. Please could you reply to this thread if you'd be interested in playing, and when you could make it - either an evening or at the weekend. I'll then use this thread to announce the arrangements.

Look forward to seeing you there!

hi Adrian
Any plans for this to run this year? My partner, Richard is interested if so, he played a bit back in the Uk where we were before. We just moved to Chantilly with every good intention to do some sport (hard with young children!), I think I've already been in touch with you/Vanessa about APARC.
Thanks
Susannah

I have heard some positive mutterings from people so we may be able to get the numbers up. Cricket is already running well (every Friday evening in Apremont) so I'm sure there'd be some cross-interest in footie too.

I'll keep you posted.

Anyone else?

Yes I am very interested in 5 a side albeit as a Referee. Would I have

I'm trying to find a venue this week or next - cricket has just finished so we need some way of keeping/getting fit!

I'll post a message here as soon as I can work something out - hopefully we'll have numbers - I have about 8 or 10 people who've said they'd play.

And welcome to the site!

Good to hear from you jonb - I don't think you'd be the only one with limited skills - me for a start!

We've probably got enough people to start this now - the trouble is finding a venue. Anyone know of an indoor 5-a-side pitch that would be available on a Friday evening?

What about the floodlit astroturf pitches, i am sure i have seen them on the way back from St Maxim via the back roads...not sure where though...
Although I agree indoors is better...

So it's only been a year - I've found an indoor 5-a-side place up in Compiegne; details here. I'm thinking that we could book a pitch for 2 hours on a Friday night - who'd be interested?

Hi guys,

I would be very interested in five-a-side as well!
Know some other footballers as well, would be great fun.

Don't know if I am reacting too late, is this still going on? Date, time?
Most of us are tied to flying rosters but I am sure we can organise something.

Would anyone be interested in 5-a-side football on a Friday night? There is a purpose built indoor centre up at Compiegne that I could make enquiries about that would cost €9 per hour. If we could get enough numbers then we could reserve it for 2 hours, say 20-22h. They have two 5 vs 5 pitches along with a 3 vs 3 and a 2 vs 2 pitch..
If I could get enough interest then I can ask about this Friday - or if you could let me know ASAP we could book for next week.

For details on the venue see post above.
